Putumayo Presents: Gypsy Groove

Putumayo are well known for the excellent World Music compilation albums and Gypsy Groove is definitely no exception.

This album has a mixture of Roma pieces in a modern, sultry interpretation.

Pieces include Sunday Arak which almost sounds like Reggae and one of my all-time favorites Amari Szi, Amari which our band played at Woodford festival.

Mellow, and not so hard-core traditional that your friends will freak out, this is an excellent album for putting on at any time of the day and in any company.

The other great thing is that a portion of all sales of this album will go to the Roma Education Fund.
