Velvet Smoking Jacket are a lively, six piece band from Melbourne. Performing a mix of compositions from all over the world as well as their own original repertoire they drive audiences wild wherever they perform with the exciting, passionate and soulful music of the gypsies. The band consists of Willow Stahlut on Violin and Mandolin, Michelle Whelan on Double Bass, Jonathan Skovron on Guitar, Nigel McLaughlin on Accordion, Donna Amini on Vocals and Percussion and Savannah Blount on Saxophone. Together, they bring years of experience as soloists and group performers to deliver exciting performances with skill, passion and youthful energy that leave the audience wanting more.
