Alamaailman Vasarat : Astiatehdas

Alamaailman Vasarat, whose name translates as "Hammers of the Underworld" are a crazy thrash and grunge-influenced Klezmer band from Finland (talk about mixing cultures).

They're a 6 piece band with with brass, two cellos and miscellaneous electronic effects.

The music is frenetic and the descriptions about their pieces are bizarre to say the least. For example Flying Wyrm, is described as "a very fast klezmer traffic jam and story of a snake who lost his magic carpet.".

This particular film clip is called Astiatehdas and is part of their Violence Trilogy. It's almost like circus music on speed being played by Metallica. I'm not sure how else to describe it, so check out this clip by Alamaailman Vasarat for yourself. Or check out their website here.
