Bizerka : Kangaroo Sausage (Greek Tunes : Karaguna and Syrtos Pidichtos)

Bizerka are a world music band from Melbourne Australia who bill themselves as playing "crazy gypsy circus music". If this video clip is anything to go by - they're certainly crazy and frenetic!

With a repertoire spanning many parts of Europe, they don't belive a tune has to be played in a traditional manner to do justice to it - as long as the feeling is there, then they're not doing any harm.

The two piece in this video clip are traditional Greek tunes played at breakneck speed - Karaguna and Syrtos Pidichtos and were recorded at the Yackandandah Folk Festival in March 2008.

Hold onto your hat while listening to these tunes as they're fast, furious and more than likely to get your toes tapping along!
