couple of weeks ago when we were at the Sounds of Harmony concert
there were two Jewish choirs (the shire putting on the concert has
a large Jewish population) and it reminded me of the Batmitzvah's
I used to attend as a child when our Jewish friend turned 13.
This particular YouTube video was filmed in the synagogue of Vincennes,
France and is an absolutely gorgeous piece showing a Batmitzvah
ceremony.
Gospel in style, but style, but sung in Hebrew, this piece is a
great example of the two styles blending together.
