Do you like playing music for fun? Are you learning to play a new instrument or a new piece of music? Not afraid to practice music in an outdoor public space? Then PUBLIC PRACTICE is for you! Practice, practice, practice.

Experience the process of practice "not performance" in unexpected outdoor public spaces at the Music Center.

This year, the Music Center presents a new, free program for musicians of all levels called Public Practice. Throughout October, Public Practice gives recreational musicians the opportunity to display the process of practice in public spaces while immersed in warm-ups, scales, made-up melodies, unfamiliar notes, starts and stops, or music that might be off-note and off-key. Mistakes and improvisation is allowed!

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Open to non-professional INSTRUMENTAL musicians and music hobbyists of all skill levels and cultural musical traditions. Choose to participate as a solo musician or as a duo.
